Why Compatible Optics

It is Safe!

The idea that utilizing compatible transceivers will void your warranty for other products is untrue.

By law, manufacturers cannot oblige you to purchase their transceivers, and if the fault or defect is not directly attributable to the use of third-party memory, cables, optics, filters, or other 3rd party components installed by a customer or reseller, they are obliged to continue to provide support for the affected product under warranty or under the terms of an official OEM support program.

It is Smart!

Gartner, the largest provider of insight and expert guidance in the world, made already clear that most suppliers excessively overcharge on network transceivers. If you also consider that they make up 10% to 15% of enterprises’ network capital spending, it means buying official transceivers is a pure waste of money, and a significant too.

The true difference between any OEM transceivers and DataStream’s ones are basically only the logo and the price.

Be smart. Don’t get ripped off!
